BioA short story about me.
I was born and raised in San Jose, California and have spent the majority of my life living here, excepting 4 years away at college and a brief stint living in San Francisco as a 20 something.
My LiveJournal user name fabhckybbe comes from my original AOL screen name FabHckyBbe. Way back in 1995 when I got my first home computer (a refurbished 382 processor from work with a crappy 14K baud rate modem), I signed up for AOL. Back then, AOL limited its users to 10 characters/digits total per screen name. So I came up with FabHckyBbe which is a shortened version of “The fabulous hockey babe,” which is kind of how I still see myself.
As you could probably tell from the user name, I love to watch ice hockey and I have been either a full or partial season ticket holder for San Jose Sharks since 1997.
I am also addicted to the world of Harry Potter and to the SugarQuill which has some of the best and brightest HP debates on the web going for it. I shipped H/G and sailed the Good Ship R/H long before it was confirmed in canon.
I also like watching movies, going to live shows, Karaoke, the TV show “Lost”, reading (2-3 books per week, mostly legal thrillers), and hanging out with friends and sharing a laugh and a beer or three.
